Dream Star Journey

   

    When I was started to studying music, I want to be a singer. It was my big dream. When I was a child, I saw little star program. But, I didn't know how to sing. When I learn music , I could understand what are the technics of singing. I was associated with many tv programs & I attended to " Dewthilina Singing competition " and I got second place in. 

            In 2021, I applied to Derana Dream Star Season 10. I wish I could selected to final 48. The first audition was held on 17th of February. After that, they held 2 auditions and selected final 48. Oh My God🤩 I got selected among the final 48 out of 600 contestants. That day was unforgettable day in my life.

                After 4 days workshop, They started competition. I selected to first   stared on 10th of April.  OH , I was little nervous. But, I did best & I could selected to next round.

                Oneday, I sang "Mal Viyanen " song. It was hit in youtube. It got 200k. I was very happy about it.

      But, I out the competition as 30th contestant. It sad moment. But it was destiny. Coincidently, I had an opportunity to compete again. It was wildcard round. Only one contestant out of Nine contestants will be selected. I had a hope but not much confidence. But , It was me who was selected in that round.

Unfortunately, I infected in covid-19 virus. I had to rest for more than a month. After month, My pcr test was positive. Therefore, i was unable to participate for competition. I had to withdraw from the competition as the 17th contestant. That also destiny. 

       But, this competition had given me a lot of opportunities and experiences. I could get good comments from a good panel of judges. Also getting to sing with ' Shiksha Music Band' was the biggest experience of my life. We even got training from people like Mrs. Samantha Perera, Mrs. Rohana Bogoda through this competition. Furthermore, I could work with Dream Star Crew. They are very kind.  I had good memories and good friends through it. In fact, this is the best experience I had in my life.
